When I worked for a payroll company doing software, my boss insisted that I take notes from our conferences on pen and paper. He wanted to hear me writing during calls. There is a conventional wisdom that writing, watching, listening, and speaking all record to different parts of memory, so trying to exercise details in as many forms as possible helps ensure you will recall it accurately.
My handwriting is atrocious and there is an error on the 5th page where the year is wrong, which is repeated in the video. RIP.
